RENTING
What types of leases does Tellus Self Storage offer?
We offer month-to-month leases. There’s no pressure to stay long-term, however we do offer specials for long-term rentals.
How do I determine which unit size I need?
Use our self storage calculator. It’s free and easy to use. If you would rather speak with someone, contact your local Tellus Self Storage facility to speak with a manager or someone on staff. You can also call our toll-free number at 1-800-773-6691.
I’m ready to get started. How do I rent a storage unit?
You have a few options when you’re ready to rent.1. Stop by the storage facility during office hours and you’ll be given a tour and get moved in.2. Your second option to reserve or rent a unit online. After you’ve done so, a member of the management team will contact you to confirm your rental and get a move-in date scheduled.3. A third option is to contact your designated facility by phone. You will still need to stop by the office to finalize paperwork and to receive your Gate Code. If you happen to reserve the unit through our after-hours Call Center, the call center representative will provide you with a temporary gate code and that will enable you to move in immediately.
What documentation is required to rent?
Bring a valid form of ID and a copy of your homeowner insurance declaration page. Ask about our tenant insurance program.
Can I rent a storage unit after hours?
Our call center is open 7 days a week. Call our toll-free number at 1-800-773-6691 whenever you need between 7:30 am - 7:00 pm.
Do you offer vehicle storage? What forms do I need to rent a space?
We need vehicle registration, title, and proof of auto insurance.
FACILITY FEATURES
Are your units drive-up accessible?
Our driveways at each property are wide enough to accommodate even the largest vehicles, including 18-wheelers.
Do your storage unit have electricity?
Storage units with electrical outlets and interior lights are available at select locations.
What moving equipment do you provide?
We provide hand carts and dollies.
What am I not allowed to store?
Anything that is flammable, hazardous, toxic, perishable, or illegal. For example, gasoline, propane tanks, kerosene lamps, motor oil, acid grease, corrosives, fertilizers, household or commercial cleaners, narcotics, hazardous, toxic or biological waste, asbestos products, fireworks or explosives, weapons or ammunition.
Do you sell boxes and moving supplies?
We sell cardboard boxes in several different sizes, mattress covers, and virtually any packing supplies you may need at a great price. Stop by the office during business hours to grab what you need.
Do you offer truck rentals?
Yes. Our moving trucks are FREE when you rent a 10x10 storage unit or larger. Contact your facility manager for details.
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
Who has access to my storage unit?
Only tenants have access to their storage unit unless otherwise specified on the lease agreement. Contact your facility manager is you need to add someone else to your account.
What should I do if my storage key is lost or stolen?
Notify your storage manager and they’ll help you contact a locksmith. You’ll be responsible for replacing your lock, which can be purchased in your storage office.
How do I go about transferring my belongings to another unit?
Transfer your items to a different unit by contacting your facility manager.
What notice should be given to vacate my unit?
Submit a notice in writing no later than the 15th day of the month.
PAYMENTS
How do I pay my storage bill?
Pay your storage bill online via our website or sign up for autopay so that you’re never late on your bill. If you sign up for autopay, your payment is processed automatically on the same day each month. You can also make payments by U.S. mail or in person at your designated facility.
Do you offer autopay?
Yes we do. Enroll in autopay any time you’re ready by signing into your online account or by contacting your facility manager.
What forms of payment are accepted?
We prefer that tenants make their payments using a credit card. We accept most major cards including Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. You can also pay with a check at each Tellus Self Storage facility.
When are payments due?
Payments are always due on the 1st day of each month.
Where can I find my account ID?
You can find your account ID on your lease agreement. Feel free to contact your facility manager for the ID as well.

For questions on refunds, please call the site manager.
